Who are we? We must admit defining or straight-jacketing our company is difficult. Yes we are a work in progress. Yes we are in multiple verticals and activities. Our core, of course, is steel. However when we find new opportunities and activities we leverage them with sincerity and hard-work. And with a growing domestic market and globalization, we admit these opportunities keep growing. But to keep ourselves true and straight, we never hesitate to walk away from an opportunity or business where we cannot deliver.

Coming to our name. It is Ellias and there are multiple pronunciations…some we are still learning. It is more than 200 years old and our ancestors probably adapted the spelling as they moved out of Kutch due to drought and to find a new living in the large metros. It does reflect an embodiment of multi-culturalism and openness which is very much part of our company’s DNA.

It is this historical enterprise and gumption that we draw on in an increasingly global and perhaps equally challenging world.
